Military Appreciation In Martinez, Georgia

Twenty Two Veterans Take Their Own Life Every Day
The Department of Affairs states that more than twenty veterans take their own lives every day in this country. To help lower this number, Miracle Nissan of Augusta is proud to be part of Military Appreciation Month. Our goal is to do our part in bringing awareness to two very special organizations here in the Central Savannah River Area: Forces United and Mission 22.
When you purchase a new or used Nissan from our local car dealership, we will donate $22 for every vehicle sold to ForcesUnited. When thinking about your next vehicle, think about how you can impact the struggle our vets and active military face every day.
ForcesUnited, formerly the Augusta Warrior Project, is the only local non-profit organization of its kind near North Augusta, South Carolina, to bring together all the resources needed to help local veterans and their families.

Mission 22 is the second non-profit we are proud to stand beside. Their mission is to combat the ever-rising veteran suicide rate. As stated above, the current suicide rate among veterans is more than twenty per day. Mission 22 hopes to reduce that number to zero. But they need our help. Mission 22 provides treatment programs for veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, and other issues. It does this with three main programs:
- National awareness
- Veteran treatment programs
- Memorials
Mission 22 builds memorials and organizes events to create social impact and generate awareness for these important issues. If you are looking for more ways to help, Mission 22 has an Ambassador volunteer program for people to do more.
The role of the Ambassadors is to create resources in their communities, educate the public on veteran issues, and help get veterans into Mission 22 treatment programs. The three functions of the Ambassadors combine to push for the better treatment of our nation’s heroes and to fight against veteran suicide.
